Enric Rubió,
born in June 8th, 1964, in Sant Jaume de Llierca, in the province of Girona, is at the moment director and professor to the School of Fine Arts of Anglés (Gerona).
He is a painter who dominates his technique and works "by the old way ", with a great sense of balance and harmony. Its pictorial, smooth and flexible style, is the gentleness of the colors that allow him to translate on the canvas their idealistic vision of the outer world. The painting by small
brushstrokes
allows him to obtain clarified and smooth models approaching visual reality of romanticism.

He reproduces with quality of details landscapes of Low Pyrenean and the environs of his beautiful region: The Garrotxa, with a particular luminosity and an overwherlimg touch of color. Places preferredly closed, wheat fields, of poppies, transparent waters and leafy forests. These corners frame the dreamed and calm scene that invites us to a wonderful stroll. At the background, the majestic and protective mountain closes this scenery.

Landscapes protected with clouds, where the light plays with the colors, where Enric Rubió fixes his own personality. His inspiration comes from the landscape of Olot and its earth, within these corners to the other side of the Pyrenees, corners of great beauty.
From the age of 9 years that paints his first canvas, we found to this young person a special talent already confirmed where the landscapes take another dimension.
L'Independant - Perpinyà
It is the landscape of Olot and the environs the one that inspires endless to Enric. He defines himself as present impresionist due to the light that believes in the atmosphere of his canvas. Great observer of closed places, where the mountain is the final scenery. Enric has tried all the materials and has passed academically through all the movements and present tendences, but he has returned with much force to the beginnings as a child, the landscape. Then, as he commented to us very well, feels well painting nature in the heat of where an immense tranquillity is breathed.
Sylvie Casanovas - L'Independant
He reproduces with great quality of details landscapes of the Pyrenees and neighborhoods of his region "the Garrotxa", with a particular luminosity and with a touch of explosive color. Although one tends, from the easy critic, to discredit the schools and their methods, is necessary to harness them, because it is through daily and methodical work of a great majority as we can help to discover the genius of few. We also thought that the innovating and vanguardistas criteria becomes, with time, classic for future generations.
Antonio Lopez, one of the recovered artists after the fever of the vanguards, in one television interview said that there are only two types of painting: the good and the bad one; and let me from this premise to introduce the work of this young painter.
Enric Rubió is an artist who has all the ingredients to be placed in the difficult world of the painting, in the level and the situation that he will decides. First, he dominates the drawing and he has what in the pictorial jargon we denominated kitchen. He knows to face the subjects that it has chosen and knows to solve them. With these ingredients, but, we would only have the craftsman: that commendable person who knows to reproduce well what others have thought. But Enric has something is essential to penetrate in the artistic jungle: sensitivity and creativity, and get passionate to him to communicate through the painting.
Enric Rubió confesses to be enamoring with the landscaping of Olot. It has methodically crossed the diverse ways of the present artistic currents, but he has given back to his illusion as a child. We can see through its short pictorial trajectory, as he tries with the colors and the abstract impressions, and as he models, through harmonious symbology, chromatic combinations by the pleasure to delight.
Enric: that it is the beginning of a long way that you will have to deal with the bitterness of someones, with the stimulus of others and the flattery of a few. Be faithful to yourself.

Enric Rubió Serra, artist painter, formed in the School of Fine Arts of Olot (South Catalunya), has shown his works in Auberge DES Deux Abbayes in Taurinya; exhibition organized by Association DES Cimaise Ephemeres up to the December 31.
Enric Rubió , finds his inspiration inside the heart by their Catalan roots, land of geniuses that have equipped the painting, factors in common. Inside their landscapes surrounded by clouds, where the light plays with the colors, Enric implants their personality.
Its inspiration comes from the neighborhoods of Olot and Region, under the Catalan Pyrenees, of great affection for him. He cultivates the painting with routes by the places more solitaries, to look for the subject. He commented to us that just by 9 years, already he painted his first canvas, next to the artists consecrated in the forests of the Moixina, had the first contacts with the painting "a plein air". With this we see the quality of this young talent. Of the impressionism he passed through the abstraction in the School of Applied Arts and Artistic Offices of Olot, but he has returned to the investigation of the landscape..."I feel well painting nature in the heat of, facing to me the light and the colors."
With this young artist the landscapes take another dimension.
He has found in the neighborhood of Taurinya, under the Canigó, a suitable scenery for his painting of harmonious chromatic combinations.
O.A.L'Independant, December 7th, 1994.
The Landscape contemplated through serenity, of the clarified light,
of the detail that leaves witness of the love for the topic
s; those works of Enric Rubió in whom the feeling prevails being united to the pictorial quality. With attentive brushstrokes, careful, cultivator of detail, he know hows to alternate spaces and to create zones in which the color is shelled impregnated of smooth luminosities, almost ethereals.
Their landscapes are spectacular, but at the same time contained, without concessions; beautiful is the nature that inspires him and he knows to transfer it to the canvas with fidelity.
J.Sellarés (Gal Art Mayo 2000)
In the Tradition of the School of Olot, a classic and figurative painting practices carefully worked. Their favorite subjects are the bucolic landscapes of romantic tendency, promoted by the brothers Vayreda, and Josep Berga Boix. They share all the feelings: the exaltation with the nature and the traditional values of the Catalan nationalism.
We specially mentioned Enric Rubio, a teacher of the landscape, he likes the bright and radiating colors. He works by far well-taken care of and precision.
Paul Hallenaut.-Le travailleur Catalan-nº2995 P20
His clarity, his luminosity, the mountains, the oaks and also the transparencies of waters, or the fields of wheat are what seduces of this artist. An impalpable serenity gives to his work an indefinable
sweetness
that marks all the work of Enric Rubió.
M.L. - L'Indépendant du Midi
He makes know a special style in the treatment of the light in the Olot's landscape. He follows the impresionist tradition and post-impresionist with a wide cromatism and very concrete brushstroke obtaining a great final result. He has a special light what makes him unique between his contemporaries.
L.G.D. Revistart - 11.1.996
It is necessary to emphasize the laborious work of the painter, like also his final result. The places viewed with a luminance intensity superior to the one of many artists, make their painting unique and gives it a certain unique differential touch.
RICARD PLANS - Diari de Girona ( December 1995)

RETAILS OF THE INTERVIEW IN EL PERIÓDICO DE CATALUÑA
"... I am like a tourist in front of the landscape."
"... Contrary as the majority, I leave from the abstraction and move to classic figurative, to the painting of my ancestors"
"... I make many routes and I catch what captivates to me, rural corners of great formal beauty. It enchants to me to natural painting and to feel the energy that transmits the nature"
"... To the young painters, they compare to us with the artists of the School of Olot of more reputation. They criticize to us to follow that tendency although for my the tradition is the freedom that is in one same one. Comparisons do not fit, because each hand and each head choose and draw a different sensation."
"... I do not like to shape in the canvas the infinite, because when attempt to put my level earth small horse nonencounter the magical point where to embrace the scene. I feel unprotected."
"... The Pirenaic landscape also is Mediterranean from the point of view of the light."
"... Although the autumn is chromatic, the summer has even more a Mediterranean light and more cleaning. I love the summery subjects like the autumn and spring, there is but real time to paint the day, and that produces a certain personal joy to me. You enjoy more the moment for painting because you have left more hours to enjoy the natural painting. "
"... It is important for the artist to have a good academy and mediation, because I do not believe in the artists whom they have to defend its work with an important rhetoric, protecting theyselves with talented criticals. The art must communicate, not that someone communicates you the meaning and the intentions of the work and the artist himself. I prefer the good formal art and the one that enters by the view and the senses than the explanatory scheme of a full pedantic rhetoric of semiótica. "
